Todd Welcomes In New Columbia University SPS MS Students

Having just recently joined the faculty, I was honored to have been invited by the Columbia University School of Professional Studies (SPS) to facilitate a 2-hour leadership development workshop (delivered six times, over two days, for over 1,000 incoming Masters of Science students!) as part of this year's orientation weekend program.

Todd Joins Columbia University Faculty

In addition to continuing as an adjunct professor at NYU where he has been teaching the popular graduate course "Leadership & Teambuilding" in their HR Master's program for the past 7 years, Todd will now be heading uptown to the beautiful and historic Columbia campus on 116th St. & Broadway.
Todd will be teaching "The Practice of Leadership," a required course in the Executive Master of Science in Strategic Communication program at the Columbia University School of Professional Studies.
He had been guest lecturing at Columbia for the past three years, teaching leadership to aspiring Broadway stage managers in their Master of Fine Arts theater program, as well as doing guest stints at Columbia's Teachers' College, but with this new role, he's now official!

Proud to Be an Honorary Latina for a Day

Thanks to "Proud to Be Latina" for inviting me to contribute to their annual empowerment conference as a leadership and career coach! It was an amazing and inspiring event!

Todd Talks Change Management at NYU

Honored to be asked to speak on the panel of a great event at the NYU Wasserman Career Center -- co-hosted by the NYU Student SHRM Chapter -- on the topic of Change Management.

As "the only constant is change," there was much to talk about. While my three fellow panelists (from Oracle, EY, and Global Brands) worked full-time in change management consulting, I focused more on "change leadership" and the importance of emphasizing the human elements involved in large-scale change initiatives.

In addition to drawing on my experience from teaching John Kotter's classic "8-Step Change Process" in my NYU class for many years, I focused on the fact that "In an ever-changing world, if you're standing still, you're falling behind"...and the crucial importance of continuous learning.

There were approximately 60 students in attendance (including 12 of my current and/or former students), and the even was simulcast globally to NYU students from NYC to Shanghai to Abu Dhabi.
